The Old Students Association of Command Secondary School, Jos (COJOSA) has set machinery in motion to commence the groundbreaking project to reunite, repackage and rebrand their Alma mater for national and global reference.

The alumni association is determined not only to ensure that COJOSA becomes a reference point for academic excellence, but also position and help members become top notchers in their various fields of endeavours.

COJOSA President, Ademola Kasumu said dropped the hint at a press at a press briefing in Lagos to herald a two-day event to a reunion for members of the association scheduled to hold from 29- 30, June 2018.

According to him, the event will feature former President Olusegun Obasanjo as the father of the day in recognition of the establishment of the school alongside three others in 1977.

He added that the event will commence with the arrival of members on Friday, June 29, while the event proper holds the following day with the reunion session in the morning just as the event will be wrapped up with a red carpet reception.

“We are looking at making it an annual event that will get bigger with each passing year to bring alumni members together into the fold. Our members comprised of top military brass in the Nigerian army, the Nigerian air force for the captains of industries among others.

“I must also inform you that we are going to give a posthumous award to one of us and national hero, a national hero, Colonel Abu Alli, who laid down his life in the defence of this great nation against the Boko Haram not long ago,” Kasumu disclosed.

Kasumu, who advocated for stakeholders support of the government in the funding of public education, stated that COJOSA would not only add value to the college but also to the nation.

He urged all employers of teachers at all levels of education to adequately remunerate teachers, saying that such incentive would reawaken their sense of commitment to render quality delivery.
