The Old Boy’s Association of Euba Secondary School, Mushin, Lagos and Masters Energy Group Nigeria have called for the entrenchment of a culture of academic excellence in the country’s school system in view of rising challenges and opportunities in the 21st Century.

The Executive Director, Marketing and Corporate Strategy, Masters Energy Group, Mr. Olufemi Shotunde, while addressing the pupils of Euba Secondary School at an event held recently in Lagos, noted that since the world was currently driven by knowledge, there was a need for full adoption of the knowledge ideology in Nigeria.

He said that the various sectors of the economy, including oil and gas, had already begun to see the increasing application of technology, which require certain requisite skills.

He said, “Things are no longer as they used to be. This is the era for the youth and they must strive to remain relevant, considering the fast rate at which the global business environment is changing.”
