Drug addiction is a psychological and physical inability to stop consuming a chemical, drug, activity, or substance, even though it is causing serious damage to health. Most undergraduate students engage in overly usage of drugs. There are so many reasons behind drug addiction. Some of these students do not just wake up into drug taking; but factors which could be influence of peer group, family background and school environment are things that could lead students in taking drugs. There so many ways drug addiction affects students’ academic performance; most students end up in the hospital due to drug abuse. Some developed mental issues while some lack retention ability. The result of these leads to poor performance in various subjects.
