Recall Naija News earlier reported that the co-founder of BudgIT, Seun Onigbinde has resigned his appointment as a Technical Adviser in the Ministry of Budget and National Planning.
His appointment had generated mixed reactions from Nigerians as he has been a major critic of the
Muhammadu Buhari administration.

Meanwhile, Nigerians have taken to Twitter to react to his resignation, see reactions below:

Seun onigbinde made a big mistake by accepting the offer, confuse himself more by deleting his account and later fucked up by your resigning

What Sahara Reporters did with that Seun Onigbinde headline reminds me of what they did with Goodluck Jonathan's "Stealing is not corruption" (something he never said or implied).
Yele Sowore shouldn't be in detention, but he should be facing a lifetime of libel lawsuits.

Me: 2 down. We will never allow you work with an adminstration you criticize on a daily and whose policies you don't believe in...

I'm a bit sentimental about this Seun Onigbinde resignation. Seriously if you're an APC member, you will do everything possible to make sure he wasn't appointed in the first place. Putting him in that position can go either way for Seun Onigbinde and he took the easy way.

I don't think twitter outrage is the sole reason for Seun Onigbinde's resignati just look at what Prof Pius Adesanmi(May his soul continue to RIP) said ab him crossing the divide over a year ago, maybe Seun resumed and was lik 'Naaaaah this system will waste my ef

Take a pause and ask yourself where you belong. The internet couldn't give Seun Onigbinde the chance to fix those things he criticised. We'd be better off fixing our problems for real than just politicising everything. My POV.

Political appointment takes more than being qualified to be successful while at it. You have to grow some balls, be brutal, be a mad man— to lead mad people. Nigerians does not look easy to lead.

Seun Onigbinde was lacking in the above mentioned to have quit over little insults.

From my own point of view, Seun has done the right thing here.

Activists must not allow the hope of doing good for the country blind them the realities of working under a deliberately bad govt.
