Corps Members have been warned not to deface their uniforms which serves as a symbol of national identity.

The Director-General, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim gave the warning while addressing 2019 Batch 'B' Stream Two Corps Members undergoing their induction course at NYSC Oyo and NYSC Kwara State Orientation Camps respectively.
He said it is an offence adding that anyone found doing so would be sanctioned appropriately.

The DG also appealed to them to study the NYSC Act and imbibe its messages in order not to run foul of the law.
Ibrahim urged the Corps Members to positively impact their host communities and leave lasting legacies.

Speaking further, the Director-General enjoined them to be serious with the in-camp and post-camp training of Skllls Acquisition programme of the NYSC Scheme.

'Jobs are not readily available and that is why NYSC introduced Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme.'
'Try and acquire skiils that will make you self- independent instead of searching for unavailable salary jobs'.

'You must respect your dignity at all times and don't endanger yourseld. You must also be disciplined wherever you are posted to', the DG said.
