Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Alhaji Sule has urged investors coming into the state to ensure accountability and transparency in their operations.
The governor spoke at a dinner organised in his honour by officials of the Kenyang Mining Company Limited at the Taal Conference Hotel at the weekend.
Restating the resolve of his administration to throw wide open the state to both local and international investors, Sule urged prospective investors to conduct their activities with all sense of accountability and transparency.
He warned that he is coming to the table with clean hands and that investors must, therefore, put the interest of Nasarawa State above personal interest.
“You will not hear anything from me under the table. But what you will hear is what is for Nasarawa State? What is for Nasarawa State is what interests me more than what is for A. A Sule,” the governor stated.
He added that his administration will provide all the necessary infrastructure to facilitate the activities of investors, stressing that the state will collaborate with security agencies to ensure there is peace and security for businesses to thrive.
Sule told the officials of the Kenyang Mining Company that his administration will make the Mararaba Udege road a priority to facilitate the work of the company but that the state will also expect returns in terms of training and employment for the people.
