Taylor Bush says was stunned to arrive at the home day care in Cleveland, Ohio, on Tuesday and be given her ‘lifeless’ two month-old baby Di’Yanni Griffin.

She told Fox8: ‘So I go to walk out the door and I close the door behind me so I’m like, “Hey, mama baby.”

‘I realize her neck is, just, she’s just lifeless.’

Bush said she went back into the daycare and began performing CPR on Di’Yanni while calling 911.

The little girl was rushed to hospital by ambulance, where she was pronounced dead.

Bush said the Di’Yanni was ‘basically dead’ when staff at the center handed her back, and has demanded to know what happened to her.

She paid tribute to the youngster, saying: ‘She was everything to me, I’m hurt; I blame myself.’

Cleveland Police have launched an investigation, and are currently awaiting the results of an autopsy.

They are now waiting to discover whether Di’Yanni’s death was suspicious before taking further action.

Daycare owner Danielle Townsend says she wasn’t present during the medical emergency, but insists Di’Yanni was alive while being cared for by her sister.

She said: ‘My sister calls me and says, “Call her mother.”‘

‘I said, “Well, her mother just texted me; what’s wrong?” She said, “The baby is breathing fast.”‘

Townsend says she tried calling Di’Yanni’s mom, but could not get through.

She added that no-one from the center dialed 911 when they noticed the infant’s rapid breathing.
