Nigerian Pastors converts to Islam after listening to Ramadan lecture (See them)
Mostly, Christians are known to be the ones who mostly convert people from other religion to become Christ believers but in this case, it is the other way round because it has been reported that 2 men who are pastors were recently converted from being a Christian to becoming a Muslim after listening to a Ramadan lecture in Ilaro Ogun state.

It was said that the two men were given a new name immediately on that same day and same place they converted religions. The two of them now bear the name Mohammad Jamiu and Mohammad Saheed.

This has come as a shock to many people because it is very rare for a Christan to convert to a Muslims talk-more of a pastor converting to Islam.

The religion status in Nigeria is nearly equally divided between Christianity and Islam, though the exact ratio is uncertain. Religion is one very big issue in Nigeria because history has it that disagreements and fights has arose from religion in Nigeria.

This has gotten so bad that there are some states in Nigeria that are dominated by Christians alone while there are some dominated by Muslims alone.

This as a matter of fact divided the country and even affected the growth of the country because it is believed that whoever is in the position to act as a leader tend to favour people that are of the same religion with him.

It has been confirmed that Nigeria has one of the largest Muslim populations in West Africa and is the largest religion in Nigeria by 54% according to research in Germany .

Islam was introduced to northern Nigeria as early as the 11th century and was well established in the major capitals of the region.

Christianity on the order hand is one of the three main religions in Nigeria and Nigeria has the Largest Christian population in Africa. According to a recent report conducted in 2011, 51.6% or more than half of Nigerians are ‘projected to be’ Christians.

Among Christians, 24.8% are Catholic, 74.1% are Protestant, 0.9% belong to other Christian denominations and a few of them are Orthodox Christians. The ecclesiastical provinces of the Church of Nigeria are: Lagos, Ibadan, Ondo, Bendel, The Niger, Niger Delta, Owerri, Abuja, Kaduna and Jos.

Are you also surprised ? Do you think things like this will bring an end to religion war in Nigeria?
