Many relationships start on a high note and end in bitterness. It hurts when you are in love with someone only for the relationship to end tragically. Many questions go through our minds when we realise our love life is on the brink of collapse. No matter how much love hurts, these things are always true.

1. True love never dies

Someone who truly loves you will never forget about you. Regardless of the reasons behind your breakup, a partner who genuinely loved you will always have you at the back of his or her mind for the rest of their life.

2. True love never changes a person

Real love allows an individual to remain who they are. You don’t need to change to please someone. It is only in a fake relationship where you will be compelled to adjust to suit your partner’s needs in the long run. Real love gives someone the freedom to choose what he or she wants in the long term.

3. When love hurts, accept and move

Love is freedom. You don’t have to suffer in the name of love. A person who truly loves you will not force you to love him or her back. The freedom to choose what you want is what defines true love.
