Many persons have been feared killed as armed bandits on motorcycles reportedly attacked several communities in Katsina.

According to Daily Trust, the hoodlums attacked communities in Dan Musa, Faskari and Batsari local government areas, killing several persons.

Legit.ng gathers that 11 people were reportedly killed in Sabon Layin Galadima area of Faskari LGA, during a dawn attack by the bandits.

However, the state’s police spokesman, SP Gambo Isah, said information obtained by the police showed that only one person was shot in the face.
Isah reportedly said the victim is alive and currently being treated.

Isah also admitted that animals were also rustled during the attack.

In Mara Zamfarawa village, Dan Musa LGA on Tuesday morning, May 21, five persons were reportedly killed and many animals rustled.
According to locals, farmers working on farmlands were also attacked by the bandits.

The bandits are said to have also attacked Yar Gamji village of Batsari LGA on Tuesday afternoon and locals put the death toll at 10.

The police have reportedly not yet responded to enquiries concerning the other two incidents.

Recall that Legit.ng previously reported that unknown gunmen allegedly launched a night attack in three villages in Kankara local government area of Katsina state resulting in the death of 20 people.

The affected villages were Dan Marke Z, Dan Sabau and Karya and they share borders with
Zamfara state.

Anas Isa who is the transition management committee chairman of the council confirmed the attack on Wednesday, May 15.
