Nigeria is the Giants of Africa, this steams up from the fact that we are the most populated black nation in the world. Nigerian politics is a brand in Africa and in the world at large. The huge population advantage and corruption in politics Nigeria can be harnessed by Nigerian youths to make money on their own instead of waiting for white collar jobs. As we know, opportunities for the top paying jobs are very few owing to the ever increasing number of graduates. Politics in Nigeria has crawled into virtually all the areas. Hence, most of the good paying jobs are being controlled by the top politicians. If you are not connected, then you may remain jobless. There is need for Nigerian youths to engage theirselves in private money venture instead of waiting lazily for manna to fall from the sky. This article will highlight the simplest ways through which unemployed Nigerian youths can deliver their selves from poverty.

#1 Private home tutorials

More than 80% of the corp members are now serving in schools. Unemployed graduates can harness the experience they gathered during their NYSC year to start a private tutorial business. This will be very rewarding if they are good in their subject matter. You can start it as after-school lessons or by making direct contact with concerned parents. You can as well rent a space for exam preparatory classes for WAEC, NECO, JAMB, post- utme, etc. With dedication and focus, you will be amazed with your turnover.

#2 Use your talent and skills to your advantage

One of greatest regrets of some people is failing to make use of their talent. These days, talent pays even more than certificates. Simply take an in depth look at your self, you will unravel those things that you enjoy doing with ease. Is it barbing? Painting? Sewing? Repairing of electrical gadgets? Cooking?, etc. Don’t be debared by the fact that you are a graduate. For instance, if you are talented in hair making, then you should start putting it into good use. A multiplicity of talents abounds in every one. Unemployed Nigerian youths should look inwards for such talents. If need be, they can go for fresher training to sharpen up the skills.

#3 Selling of food items

Not minding the scarcity of jobs and money, people will always eat. There is always an inflow of demand for food items. Unemployed Nigerian youths can leverage on this. They can start it small by buying and selling food items such as vegatables, fish, oil, etc. This might seem very strenuous, but you will be amazed with your profits.

#4 Make money online

Lots of Nigerian youths are making millions from the internet. The population of Nigeria is very supportive in this aspect. You can make money by starting a blog or by freelancing. In freelancing, you get hired to do jobs for people online. You can do jobs like writing articles, proof reading articles, editing articles, managing Facebook and email accounts, etc and you get paid for it.

Don’t wait any longer. Do you wish to be counted among the lazy Nigerian youths? There are boundless opportunities in the country. Go ahead and do those jobs that people feel are menial jobs. Don’t let your certificate to cage you.
