The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) has launched its Country Programming Framework to enable Nigeria achieve food security reduce poverty nationwide.

The FAO Representative, Ambassador Suffyan Koroma, who spoke during the official presentation yesterday in Abuja, added that the five-year plan would lead to the attainment of its 2030 agenda of zero hunger in the country.

He said the United Nations agency was aware of the widespread challenges in the areas of agriculture, natural resources management, environment and climate change.

Koroma pointed out that in preparing the document, the organisation and other key stakeholders identified five key priority areas where it could apply its expertise and experience.
