Juventus defeated AC Fiorentina at the Allianz Arena in Turin knowing that a point would have been enough to secure the Serie A title for them. Cristiano Ronaldo who was signed from Real Madrid this summer led the line in a 4-3-3 formation as he became the first player to win the league title in Spain, England, and Italy; a record that his rival Lionel Messi will never achieve as a player. Here are the player ratings in full.

Wojciech Szczesny: 6.0

The former Arsenal man did not expect to be troubled but he had to make only one save before the hour mark to keep Juventus’ lead intact. He was not troubled a lot but Allegri must be worried that there was nothing he could do to prevent the opening goal from being scored.

Leonardo Bonucci: 6.5

The experienced defender was assured at the back as he won all the aerial duels contested and was able to marshal the entire team to maintain their defensive shape when they were not with the ball.

Daniele Rugani: 7.0

The defender was very comfortable in a back four especially as he partnered Leonardo Bonucci in the center back. He gave the Fiorentina defenders a tough time by bullying them in the air and winning all duels.

Alex Sandro 9.0

The Brazilian star is undoubtedly today’s man of the match as everything he tried to do worked for him. His defensive contributions were top notch and he was unlucky not to keep a clean sheet. He did a lot of work on the wings and got a fine goal to draw things level in the first half.

Joao Cancelo: 6.5

The Portuguese star continued to warm his way into the hearts of the Juventus fans as he continued with the strong performances that has made him feature for the Old Lady. His powerful runs down the side of the pitch kept the Fiorentina defenders on their toes and he supplied immense support for Federico Bernadeschi who played ahead of him in attack.

Miralem Pjanic: 8.5

The Bosnian midfielder protected the defenders allowing the wing backs bump forward and cause trouble when Juventus were in attacking phases. He only had about an hour to dictate play and float in dangerous balls from the middle of the park but he managed to provide an assist before he was replaced by Rodrigo Bentacur.

Blaise Matuidi: 7.0

The French World Cup winner put in a strong display in the middle of the park as he was put in a more defensive position. The former PSG man continued to nullify the opposition attack and he made three tackles in the midfield today and he had done all season to help his side to another Scudetto.

Emre Can: 7.5

The former Liverpool man was made to play a conservative role as he spent most of his time making tackles, winning the ball back for his side and playing it out the back to begin attacking plays. His combination in the middle of the park with Pjanic and Matuidi was key in securing victory for the Serie A champions.

Juan Cuadrado: 7.0

The Colombian made fast exciting runs on the wings and drifted in to completely confuse the opposition defence. He had the best dribbling statistics on the pitch and allowed Alex Sandro come high up the field to isolate the Fiorentina defenders.

Cristiano Ronaldo: 7.5

The big money signing from Real Madrid continued to show the reason for his signing as he threatened the Fiorentina defenders more than anyone else on the pitch. Playing as a striker, his runs disorganised the defence of the opposition and his hold up play brought other players into the game allowing them to get a crucial win.

Federico Bernardeschi: 7.0

Bernardeschi has been an exciting option for the Juventus attack, he has been so good that he has kept a super star like Paolo Dybala reduced to a bench role. He combines well with Cristiano Ronaldo up front because of his dangerous crosses which are floated or drilled and his runs today helped disorganize the Fiorentina defence,

65′ Rodrigo Bentacur: 6.0

He came in to slot in a defensive role after Allegri decided that the tie was settled. He came in for Pjanic and held up the midfield. He did not have to do much apart from picking up loose balls and winning headers in the middle of the park.

74′ Moise Kean: 4.0

The teenage striker did not have enough time to impose himself on the game after he was given only the quarter of an hour to play.

87′ Mattia De Scligio: nil

The defender was brought in to lock shop and give the defence more assurance. However, he did not have a lot of time to impose himself on the game.
