This week was definitely the most important week for Nigerians as we chose who will decide the fate of the country’s economy and development for the next four years. Also in the international scene, we saw a lot more drama. All these events prove that this week had a lot in store.

Here is a rundown of the week:

The next level for Nigeria?

For months, Nigerians looked forward to the 2019 Presidential elections. This got heightened after in weeks closing up to the elections. Four days after the election, the incumbent president, Muhammadu Buhari who promised Nigerians a #NextLevel was announced as the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). However, some musicians such as Davido and veteran Nigerian entertainer, Charly Boy have expressed their disappointment. Charly Boy wrote, “I know it’s beginning to dawn on fellow frustrated Nigerians that we are about to port to the “Next Level” of original suffer head.”

Blame it on the alcohol Jordyn

All hell broke loose last week when reports that model, Jordyn Woods had an affair with basketball star, Tristan Thompson, Khloe Kardashian’s ex. According to reports, the 21-year-old is claiming that she hooked up with Thompson when she was drunk before she went to the house party where witnesses say she snuggled up to Thompson. She claims she doesn’t even remember how she got to the party or anything that happened there and cried when she was told what she did. Since then, she has been begging her ex-best friend, Jenner and Khloe for forgiveness.

#NigeriaDecides vs Meek Mill

There is no doubt that Meek Mill is a true brother in the black community. But how far is he willing to go to in Africa particularly Nigeria? The hip-hop artiste found himself entangled in 2019 presidential election. This involvement is traced to a question asked by a fan @Meekval who asked that he makes his opinion about the Nigerian elections. The fans asked APC is rigging election Nigeria against PDP, what you gonna say about that? #askmeek. Responding to the tweet, he said, That’s outta my league imam good ni**a bro. There you have it!

Behold the world’s richest African

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote has become the 64th richest person in the world. Dangote moved up to the 64th position with an estimated worth of N6,020,820,000 ($16.6 billion). This move is significant considering he was previously ranked 103rd. Dangote who has been named the richest man in Africa for the 8th year running was the only Nigerian on the list of the top 500 billionaires’ as released by Bloomberg in its yearly billionaires’ list. It would be recalled that Dangote, was also recently named as the sixth most charitable man in the world by Richtopia.

Resurrection challenge 101

Alleluia Ministries church pastor Alph Lukau who recently became an African focus after he allegedly raised a man from the dead has denied having such power. Rather, he argues that the man was alive when he arrived at the church. He said this at an interview on PowerFM’s Power Drive. During the interview, he admitted he does not have the power “except God uses me as an instrument.” He also insisted that questions on why a “dead man” was brought to his church should be directed to the man’s family. His church has issued a statement stating there was no resurrection.
