Spanish giants, Real Madrid are reportedly ready to offer cash plus club’s record signing, Gareth Bale to Chelsea, as they attempt to lure Belgian, Eden Hazard to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

Hazard has been a standout performer for the Blues this season. However, he sensationally admitted last week that it has “always been a dream” to play for Los Blancos.

Real were tipped to secure his signature in the summer following Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure to Juventus. But despite weeks of speculation a move failed to materialise.

Real Madrid ace Gareth Bale could move to Chelsea
Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda reckons a spectacular deal could still be on the cards though.

“Real Madrid is considering making a trade: Bale, Chelsea and Hazard, Real Madrid. Hazard wants to come and July 1 is worth zero. Real Madrid is made with a player who sooner or later will come and Chelsea get a player they like,” he said.

Eden Hazard
“I think it would be Bale and more money.”

Following Ronaldo’s move to to Turin, it was hoped Bale would fill the void. The Welshman has scored three La Liga goals this term but Real have underwhelmed and are having a tough start to the season.

They have already lost two games and sit fourth in the table behind Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla.

Julen Lopetegui took the reins following Zinedine Zidane’s departure and Real bigwigs look ready to back him. Reports last week claimed a £166m war chest could be handed over in a bid to revive their fortunes.

Gareth Bale
Chris Sutton – who played 28 Premier League games for Chelsea – says he’s been impressed with Hazard’s attitude.

“I actually admire the way Hazard has handled himself since the World Cup. There was talk of him going to Real Madrid and the truth is he would have hoped for more at Chelsea last season,” Sutton told Express Sport.

“Going into this season with Real Madrid calling I think a lot of players would have had their heads turned. His mate, Thibaut Courtois, went but he hasn’t chucked his toys out of the pram.

“He’s knuckled down, had a good World Cup and has come back in. Chelsea’s season depends on Hazard. He’s that crucial player for them and some of his goals have been sensational.

Julen Lopetegui
“They’re very reliant on him as an attacking force and if he stays fit, who knows.”

Despite Real’s overtures in the summer, Hazard didn’t push for a move. Sutton admits he taken aback by the player’s discipline. He added: “Was I surprised? Yes, maybe on the basis of how many chances do you get to play for Real Madrid?

“And, off the back of Chelsea’s performances last season, he may well have thought I want to make that next step. The chances are you see Manchester City and Liverpool strengthening and think we’re not going to push. But he’s knuckled down and he’s taken the responsibility on himself and has taken Chelsea to another level so far.”
