Being in love is something every human being dreams of and yearns about.

We all dream of being loved, appreciated and treated well by our spouses, friends, girlfriends, and boyfriends.

However, sometimes people find themselves lonely, yet they have people who claim to love and care for them.

Some people treat loneliness as a sign that their spouses or partners no longer care or love them.

According to Mercy Mburu, a relationship counselor in Mlolongo, loneliness does not necessarily mean that you are not loved.

Here are four ways to overcome loneliness in your relationship:

1. Do things together

It is advisable to do things together as friends or couples in order to fight any form or feeling of loneliness.

According to relationship experts, doing things together spices up your relationship.

You can wash utensils, cook or even have a walk together.

2. Communicate regularly

Communication is an essential ingredient in a relationship.

Call her or him regularly once you start feeling lonely.

3. Listen to your partner

Often listen to the suggestions, opinion and advise your partner makes.

Love experts observe that loneliness sometimes comes as a result of people not giving their partners the chance to speak and express themselves.

4. Engage in constructive activities like sports

It is advisable to keep yourself busy to avoid being lowliness.

You can engage your friends in a social walk, play, listen to music or go for a walk.

All the best in your relationship.
