I wept bitterly while in My first year, after seeing one of My result with the grade C boldly written. There were several thoughts running through My mind. I saw the grade as a disappointment to My personality, it wasn't easy to bear the pain of having a grade C. The thought of taking My life came into place and that was exactly what I planned to do on that day.

Towards the eve of that day, I bought the famous SNIPER and some drugs from the Student Centre of the school. Can anyone remember once seeing My post on Fb that states "I'm tired of life, the chord is broken and the wires disconnected?" It was on My mission to carry out that plan that I received a call from a friend Akintomide Pelumi Oriola and I told him exactly what I posted on Facebook. He told me not to be discouraged that those are the normal tests we all go through in life. You might not get it, you might say, "what do you expect those with a grade F to do then?" I'm not one of the student that settles for less but I do want the best always. With all the effort I spent studying and thought that I've passed the exam with an A or least B, I saw a C. After speaking with Oriola I switched off My phone, disconnected Myself totally from the world and was ready to go on with My mission when I recalled the saying of a close friend Blessing Alatari, she said "Wisdom don't give up! Wisdom you can't give up!" Mehn, I was totally in a state of dilemma as battles were raging in My mind.

If it wasn't the prayers of people and encouragements from Friends, if I hadn't open up on that day I wouldn't be here writing this. I never thought I would be depress, nah! I never did but when it struck me, My thought process became gloomy and clouded.

Depression as defined by (psychology) In psychotherapy and psychiatry it's a period of unhappiness or low morale which lasts longer than several weeks and may include ideation of self-inflicted injury or suicide. Depression can affect anyone both old and young, Adults and Youths. Suicide might seem like the best choice for you to make but it isn't the best option. Think of the things you can still do, the people that will mourn over your death, those that will be a partaker of your Depression after your death, think of those you'll leave behind in sorrow. Don't kill your parents dreams for you, don't give then HBP or even Cardiac arrest. Do you want them to die without enjoying the fruit Labour? Think about that.

There's always a solution to every problem. Your troubles can be defeated if you can just learn how to OPEN UP. What's bothering you? Share it with your friends, with those that can offer you solutions and of course there are individuals like that close to you. Some persons are looking healthy physically but Mentally they ain't. Depression has eaten deep into them. Don't laugh or mock those that go through Depression but learn how to tell people from time to time that "I love you," tell them you love them. Your words can save someone's life today.

The cure for Depression is to SPEAK UP, SHARE YOUR PROBLEMS, LEARN HOW TO MOTIVATE YOURSELF and that was how I overcame My depression.
