The Vice Chancellor, Anchor University, Lagos, Prof. Joseph Afolayan has revealed the readiness of the institution to offer admission to over 2,000 admission seekers in the 2018/2019 academic session.

Afolayan who made the disclosure at a briefing in Lagos also explained how the National Universities Commission (NUC) had approved 14 new courses for the University. He noted that the varsity now offers a total of 29 courses.

“With the approval, we can now admit new students into the new programmes from this 2018/2019 academic session in addition to the existing 15 programmes we started with in February 2017,” the Vice Chancellor said.

He revealed that construction of another campus has commenced at Mowe, Ogun state, saying if completed it will harbour more undergraduates with different courses.

“The criteria we use to admit students is universal. The university gate is open to all classes of men and women. We don’t discriminate. Our facilities are okay, we are extending our annexes that will be able to accommodate our new programmes,” Afolayan said.
